Kay recently joined The Law Office of James E. Goad after graduating cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law. While attending law school, Kay was a member of the Georgia State University Law Review and graduated with highest pro bono distinction. She interned with the DeKalb County Child Advocacy Center which represents youth in foster care. She also participated in the Capital Defender Clinic, which represents clients facing the death penalty.

Prior to law school, Kay graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Cartersville Medical Center and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. In fact, Kay worked at Scottish Rite throughout law school and continues to work as a pediatric nurse on weekends. She brings to her law practice many years of experience in advocating for patients and knows how to compassionately assist people during their hardest times.

Kay has been admitted to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court and the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Kay has lived in Cartersville for nearly 20 years and has been married to a Cartersville native Jason Hill for 17 years. Kay and Jason enjoy ballroom dancing and living with a house full of rescued dogs and cats. Kay has volunteered for Etowah Valley Humane Society, Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia and is a board member for League for Animal Welfare.
